The 2023 Myrtleville Swimmers' Myrtleville to Church Bay 2km open sea swim in aid of the RNLI will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 7.00 pm.
Entries will close
at 14.00 on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 - or earlier, if oversubscribed.
If for safety reasons June 21st has to be
postponed, the back-up date is Friday, June 23rd at 7.30 pm. If
this date can not proceed, all entry fees will be donated to the RNLI. No
refunds will be issued in any case - you are donating to the RNLI when you enter..
This is a challenging 2km swim in
open water conditions and it should not be attempted without proper preparation.
All participants must either be prior participants or confirm they will be able to verify a
minimum of one 1,500m open water swim in 2023 completed in under 40 minutes. We strongly recommend you have
done a longer distance – or several 1,500m swims.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES. CONSIDER THEM DONATIONS TO THE RNLI.
IF YOU ENTER AND CAN NOT ATTEND, YOUR FEE WILL BE DONATED TO THE RNLI. YOU CAN NOT TRANSFER YOUR ENTRY TO ANOTHER PERSON.
IF IT IS NECESSARY TO POSTPONE DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES, ENTRY FEES FOR THE FIRST DATE WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE PLANNED BACK UP DATE. IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND THE SECOND DATE, YOUR FEE WILL BE DONATED TO THE RNLI.
IF THE SECOND DATE DOES NOT PROCEED DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES ALL FEES WILL BE PAID OVER TO THE RNLI AS A DONATION. A THIRD PLANNED DATE WILL NOT BE ATTEMPTED.
