The 2024 Myrtleville Swimmers' Myrtleville to Church Bay 2km open sea swim will take place on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 7.30 pm.


Entries will close at 14.00 on Sunday, June 09, 2024 - or earlier, if oversubscribed. 


If for safety reasons June 10th has to be postponed, the back-up date is Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 8.00 pm.  If this date can not proceed, all entry fees will be donated.  No refunds will be issued.
 
This is a challenging 2km swim in open water conditions and it should not be attempted without proper preparation.
 
All participants must either be prior participants or confirm they will be able to verify a minimum of one 1,500m open water swim in 2024 completed in under 40 minutes.   We strongly recommend you have done a longer distance – or several 1,500m swims. 


Proceeds this year will be shared between funding requirements for the upkeep of the marker buoys in Myrtleville and the RNLI.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OF ENTRY FEES.  CONSIDER THEM AS DONATIONS..  

IF YOU ENTER AND CAN NOT ATTEND, YOUR FEE WILL BE DONATED.  YOU CAN NOT TRANSFER YOUR ENTRY TO ANOTHER PERSON.

IF IT IS NECESSARY TO POSTPONE DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES, ENTRY FEES FOR THE FIRST DATE WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE PLANNED BACK UP DATE.  IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND THE SECOND DATE, YOUR FEE WILL BE DONATED,

IF THE SECOND DATE DOES NOT PROCEED DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES ALL FEES WILL BE PAID OVER TO THE DESIGNATED BENEFICIARIES AS A DONATION. A THIRD PLANNED DATE WILL NOT BE ATTEMPTED.
